meet your hosts
Brian and Rachel were both born and raised in Millinocket with their parents and grandparents still living in Millinocket as well. Both have spent 20+ years working as professionals whilst enjoying all that the Katahdin Area have to offer. They enjoy spending time outdoors with family, friends and especially Sargent (the couples solid black German Shepherd). Brian spends his winters grooming snowmobile trails for the Jo Mary Rider’s Snowmobile Club. Brian and Rachel are eager to host their guests and share their passion for the local area. It was important to keep 5 Lakes Lodge a business open to the public. We look forward to offering new and exciting events.
Matt and Missey have been married for over 25 years, both born and raised in Millinocket, growing up feeling privileged to come from such a beautiful area. They are looking forward to sharing the lodge and their community with anyone who comes to experience all the Katahdin Region has to offer. They have two children David (Amber) and Emily (Tyler) and a grandson Parker, there is a good chance you will meet them, as they are a tight knit group! They have lived on South Twin Lake since 2005 and are passionate about sharing the beauty of the five lakes region. They both enjoy spending time in the summer months on their pontoon boat with their family and friends. Matt, an experienced hunter, enjoys going out on hunting trips during the various hunting seasons. In the winter months, they both enjoy riding snowmobiles on the Jo Mary Riders trail system and being out on the ice, fishing. Matt and Missey are excited to not only start this next chapter of their lives but to continue the legacy of hospitality at Five Lakes Lodge.
